Visitors help tap sugar maples and collect sap on early spring's Maple Syrup Sunday, and can enjoy the park's syrup on pancakes.

Footloose in late spring invites families to walk the park's trails--fresh air and exercise--with healthy snacks and beverages.

The midsummer Escarpment Bicycle Tour takes families and distance riders on scenic rural routes of from 8 miles to 100 miles, with breakfast, cue sheets, marked routes, SAG service, rest stops, and spaghetti dinner.

Families can get a hands-on experience with old-fashioned (and modern) crafts, and challenge themselves with wild edibles at the early autumn Fall Festival. Live bluegrass music makes it even more fun.
