Events and News

The Friends of Ledge View Nature Center sponsor public workshops seasonally, and also organize popular annual events at the park.

Visitors help tap sugar maples and collect sap on early spring's Maple Syrup Sunday, and can enjoy the park's syrup on pancakes.
The midsummer Escarpment Bicycle Tour takes families and distance riders on scenic rural routes of from 8 miles to 100 miles, with breakfast, cue sheets, marked routes, SAG service, rest stops, and spaghetti dinner.
The strangest time in the park is definitely the Halloween Candlelight Cave Tours.  Though the dark woodland and candlelit caves can give the event a spooky feel, it's not intended to be scary!
