Escarpment Bike Tour 2017

Put the pedal to the meadow and ride the country roads Sunday, Aug. 6, when the Friends of Ledge View Nature Center will host the 30th annual Escarpment Bicycle Tour!
Get your bike out and take a ride for a good cause, enjoying the warm weather, exercise, and rural scenery. The fundraiser features marked routes, maps, and cue sheets, as well as food- and beverage-stocked rest stops staffed by volunteers, and necessary facilities. Bicyclists can choose from several routes, from 8 to 100 miles in length. Two routes (16 and 32 miles) offer the opportunity to take a free dip in the pool at the New Holstein Aquatic Center, so don't forget your swimsuit.
The ride additionally includes an early breakfast, sag service for breakdowns on the road, and an after-ride spaghetti dinner with wine and live music by local group Missing Moonlight.
Funds raised by the event do a couple of things: they cover the cost of animal maintenance at Ledge View Nature Center, help with exhibit development, and provide equipment for educational programming. You get a discount on the rate if you register by July 13, 2017.
