The building is open from 8 am - 4:30 pm seven days a week, except holidays. 

The trails are open from dawn to dusk.

There is no fee to hike the trails or walk through the nature center.

February Programs

Dog Sled Demo

  February 1, 2020

9:30 am

Cost is $5 per person

 

Learn about the history of Siberian huskies and the sport of dog-sledding. Assist with the harnessing process in preparation for riding.  Snow is not necessary for the program.

Ride availability depends on weight and on the dogs; preference will be given to little people (kids) in order to permit the greatest number of rides. 

Program is outdoors, so please dress accordingly. 

Feeding the Critters

Cost is by donations

Come help the naturalist feed the animals at Ledge View and learn about their care.

Evening 

Snowshoe Hike

6:30 pm

$  per person

Snowshoe with a naturalist to enjoy the night beauty of the forest and the winter sky.  Learn some snowshoe history, constellations, and folklore; listen for owls.

These programs are dependent on adequate snow cover; please call to verify snow conditions.

Moonlight

Saturday,

$  per person

The park will also be open for cross-country skiing this evening.  Bring your own skis or call the nature center to reserve a rental pair (separate $6 rental fee).
