What does the Agricultural Educator Do?
The Agricultural Educator is a County position, who works within the Land and Water Conservation Department. You may be familiar with prior UW Extension Agricultural Educators, who worked to bring the research and programs of the University of Wisconsin to Calumet County landowners and farmers.
While the Ag Educator no longer has direct ties to the University of Wisconsin, their role remains much the same; they will remain up-to-date on agricultural issues, technology, and practices, and will collaborate to provide educational events, materials, and consultation.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have regarding dairy, livestock, crop production, farm business management, grazing, and home gardening.
