Purpose
This service is provided to help people remain in their community by providing access to safe and reliable transportation. Services are available to assist with medical appointments, such as a doctor, dentist, or optometrist, shopping, church, banking or legal needs, nutrition programs, funerals, nursing home, and hospital visitation of the immediate family.
Eligibility
Persons 60 years of age or those with a disability Must be residents of Calumet County.
Availability
8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. To schedule a ride, please give 24 hours' notice for all ride requests. Transportation services are closed on holidays and days the Calumet County Courthouse is closed.
Van Ambulatory & Volunteer
- $2.00 each way within a community
- $4.00 each way out of a community
- $10.00 each way out of the county
- Out of County trips less than 80 total miles are billed a flat rate of $20.00. Trips over 80 total miles are billed a flat rate of $20.00 plus a mileage rate of $ .28 per loaded mile.
Van Wheelchair Transportation
- $15 base rate for all trips
- $.80 per loaded mile + base rate

When leaving your request on voice mail, be sure to leave your full name (first and last) and your telephone number. The name of the facility you are visiting, street address, and city are needed at the time the ride request is called in.
