County Administrator

Responsibilities of the County Administrator:

  • The Chief Administrative Officer of the County and as such, directs, administers, and coordinates the activities of the County in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the County Board.
  • Appoints members of Boards and Commissions, subject to the confirmation of the County Board.
  • Appoints the heads of all Departments of the County except those elected by the people or appointed by elected officers, after concurrence with the Chair of the Home Committee and the County Board Chair.
  • Submits the annual budget to the County Board.
